Hawk Tuah Merch is Earning $10,000's
Hawk Tuah Girl is a young woman in Tennessee who went viral earlier this month when her late-night street interview was posted online 🎤
The Cut names the woman as Hailey Welch and explains…
In the video, she’s asked “What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?” Her response is what’s made her go viral.
“You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang,” she exclaimed…
“Hawk tuah” is like, the sound of the guy in the back of an old Western saloon using a spittoon, but she’s talking about sex.

As soon as the video started going viral, a merch company in Tennessee got in contact with Hailey and announced on Facebook…
I have been authorized to sell these hats after a conversation with Haliey. She will be receiving a portion of the profits from sales.
They then posted a photo of the company founder with Hailey 👀
A week later, Rolling Stone reported…
That was 2000 hats sold for at least $33 a pop 🤯
But it's not just the official stuff that's selling.
Search for "Hawk Tuah merch" on any social platform and you'll find people trying to sell tshirts, hats, stickers, etc.
Blaine and Courtney Toler might be doing it better than anyone 😎
Looks like they've been in the merch game for a while now, and they were quick to jump on the Hawk Tuah trend, announcing a shirt for sale within a couple of days.
Price tag = $30.
Six days later, they revealed they'd sold 1500 of those shirts.
That's $45,000 revenue 💰
Of course, the party could soon be over since Hailey may end up trademarking her famous phrase.
But it goes to show the power of having an audience and being ready to jump on the latest trend 📈

🛠️ I worked as a mechanical engineer in Switzerland and made $100k per year, but it was so boring. Everything was so slow, and my tasks felt useless because I was a small gear in a big system.
So, I quit the job and started to chase my dream of working more independently and on exciting projects. I learned how to code, how to build websites, failed with my first company, learned how to use Stable Diffusion, and how to build AI models and use Replicate.
Per his GitHub, he joined the platform in 2022, so he likely started coding around the same time.

Then I worked with @levelsio to help him build and push models to Replicate, as I was already experienced in Python. During this time, I had the chance to dive deep into building AI models.
He inspired me by showing that it’s possible to earn a living by working independently on varied, fun projects and even automating them.
Working with him was huge for me because I learned a lot about how to achieve that for myself by focusing on the right things.

Now, everything is coming together. I combined all the skills I learned in the last few years and built my app…
Two months after launching, it's making $5,000 MRR, and I can finally finance my life with my own projects.
I like that approach when getting started: working with someone who's several steps ahead on the journey, helping them out and learning as much as you can from them.

But of course there’s a lot more to the story 📰
Anthony actually started building the community 3+ years ago, and didn’t start charging for it until recently.
Existing users were grandfathered in, so they all still have free access and ensure that there’s a good level of activity and value to entice new paying members.
That sounds like a great blueprint to follow for any type of paid community.
