eBiz Insider Business Ideas Newsletter

Hey, it's Niall 👋

A quote I read today from the legendary Lucille Ball…

Luck? I don't know anything about luck. I've never banked on it and I'm afraid of people who do. Luck to me is something else: Hard work – and realizing what is opportunity and what isn't.

Here's to making your own luck 💪

Now, let's dive into some fresh business ideas.

SOFTWARE CONSULTING

Former $30/Hour Virtual Assistant Now Earning $300/Hour

DaSilva Life helps small businesses build success by setting up and integrating two popular software tools, HoneyBook and ClickUp, into their workflow and operations.

Starting out, Kristi says…

I was just a virtual assistant. I did admin, content creation, systems, all the things.

🎯 Then she decided to specialize…

She became one of the first 12 HoneyBook Pros and joined a small group of ClickUp consultants.

The transition took a while.

Kristi found clients via personal connections and Facebook groups, and eventually…

she went from making $30-$40 an hour as a VA to charging $300 an hour for strategy sessions.

I reckon lots of people could do this: become a certified consultant of some big enterprise software you enjoy using 😎

Could you give this a try? 🤔

TECHCRUNCH FOR X

They Gave Him $13,000 When He Started This Business

Check out this basic-looking website: constructionwave.co.uk

They cover the 🇬🇧 UK construction industry and send out a daily newsletter.

Andrew Curtain started the business in 2022. He has a background in marketing and advertising, knew about the construction industry via his father.

Andrew talks about growing the business in a recent interview on YouTube 💬

His first revenue came from a cold call to a crane company right after he launched. They gave him a £10K sponsorship ($13K USD)...

I just think they felt sorry for me.

Nowadays they monetize with newsletter sponsors, sponsored webinars (£7-15K rev each) and an annual conference (£150K rev in 2023) 💰

Doesn't sound like they're super-profitable yet, but they're growing nicely.

Think of this as building TechCrunch for a particular niche.

TechCrunch is a media company covering startups and tech, estimated $68M annual revenue.

Is there an industry you could become the TechCrunch of? 🧐

INSPIRATION

When You Want To Create a Product But Are Short on Ideas

💬 Jacky tweets

If you're looking to create a product and are short on ideas, consider exploring existing products in the market. The following websites can help spark your inspiration:

microsaasidea.com
indiehackers.com/products
boringcashcow.com
openstartup.tm

Identify a product you believe could be improved and think about how to enhance it. Most importantly, you don't always need to reinvent the wheel.

Once you have a preliminary idea, you can quickly develop a prototype or MVP to validate its real-world value.

Lastly, don't rush the process. Sometimes, a good idea requires time to mature and evolve.

DIRECTORY WEBSITE

New $940/Month Directory Site Built With AI

Check out Toolio.ai 👈

It's a directory site of 5000+ tools and apps, launched earlier this year.

📝 The founder recently posted on Reddit…

Apparently the content is mostly generated by AI…

we paste in bunch of links (other websites, blogs, news articles) and with a click of a button we can get up to 2000 SEO optimised content pieces

Monetization: the tool creators can pay to be featured and get more clicks 👍

SEO is big for Toolio, and the founder lays out his keyword research strategy, starting with…

I use ahrefs.com/keyword-generator … it is literally free

Could you use this approach to quickly build and monetize a directory in another niche?

BEYOND BORDERS

$80K/Month Helping People Born On The Wrong Side of the Map

Ugur Yuruk is from Turkey 🇹🇷 and the founder of TheITIN.

They help non-Americans set up businesses in the USA, complete with tax IDs, mailing addresses, bank accounts, payment processing, etc.

📝 Ugur wrote in a recent interview

Our customers are mostly first-time entrepreneurs that were born on the wrong side of the map… so they can not be part of the global marketplace, or tap into the US marketplace.

Ugur's business has helped 3000+ such people in 150+ countries.

We’re a small global team of 11… My business brings about $35k a month in profit and $80k in revenue.

This gets me thinking 👇

What is hard for people to do in your country or in another country?

Could you create a product or service that makes it easier for them? 🤔
