eBiz Insider Business Ideas Newsletter

Hey, it's Niall 👋

Writing to you from a winter wonderland today, as the little country where I live got a massive amount of snow over the weekend.

Some nice photos on these two Instagram accounts…

The snow has slowed things down around here but the business ideas keep on coming 💪

Let's dive into a new batch.

DIRECTORY WEBSITE | AFFILIATE MARKETING

$1000+ From His Simple Black Friday Directory Site

Peter Mick tweets

Woah BlackFridayTimes.com is now a 4-figure $ business 🤯🥹🙏

It's basically a directory website listing Black Friday deals in different categories, monetized with affiliate links.

Obviously not a year-round thing but I could see this being a nice seasonal earner for Peter every year without much effort 😎

This was his first year, domain was registered back in September.

Looks like Mick mainly spread the word via X (20k followers) and a Product Hunt launch 🚀

His site tries to cover all categories.

You could try doing similar but for a specific category or niche that you're familiar with, or perhaps a local Black Friday deals site for a big city.

Might also be worth trying something like this for other times of the year, such as 👇

  • Christmas

  • January sales

  • Back to school

SELLING GROUP CALLS

Earning $1000's Discussing Books & Movies With Nerds on Zoom?

💬 Mahmoud Rasmi tweets about PhiloQuest Discussions

We read a book a month, occasionally watch a movie instead.

Then we get together on the last Wed. of each month… drink in hand, and discuss. It's chill, laid back, and fun.

Daniel Vassallo comments

Mahmoud makes thousands of dollars discussing books and movies with some nerds on a zoom call.

Thousands of dollars? 🧐

Probably not.

PhiloQuest Discussions appears to be sold out with 11 sales at $120 a pop = $1320.

So not a huge ROI for Mahmoud given that he'll have to prep for and host 12 group calls.

Then again, he is getting paid to chat about books and movies… something I suspect he'd happily do for free 😁

Another comment

Charging people money to have friends - genius.

Also, Mahmoud has a fairly small audience (6.7k followers on X), so it's impressive he can earn even $1320/year doing this.

Could earn more over time as his audience grows and he offers more group calls 📈

Build up a respectable following on social, and you could try similar yourself.

NICHE WEBSITE

This Unofficial McDonalds Website Earns $700 Per Month

Check out this website 👉 mcds-menu.com

an unofficial guide to McDonald’s menus, prices, nutrition information, and more. We created this site as a handy reference for customers seeking the latest details on McDonald’s offerings.

Similarweb estimates the site gets 278k visits per month 📈

Monetized with Google display ads, it could be earning about $700 per month (source).

This sent me down a rabbit hole, looking for other unofficial menu sites for popular restaurants

Not huge money to be made here, but sites like that could be spun up pretty quick 🚀

SPORTS HIGHLIGHT VIDEOS

He's Earning $2000/Month Posting Football Clips on YouTube

A recent 22m video posted on YouTube 👇

The creator owns football/soccer highlight channels such as iGooner (176k subs) and Nost FC (46k).

He shows that he's earned…

  • $100K+ from his channels since starting in 2020

  • $5500 from this one video: Most CONTROVERSIAL Matches

  • $31,000 in ~18 months from a new channel

And apparently he only posts 2 videos per month on average 🤯

He does sell a course on how to do this for $49/month, so the video is a bit of a sales pitch, but he drops a lot of free knowledge in there.

💬 Prompting another channel to comment

Coming from a football channel with 4M subscribers, he describes things very well!

How about following the advice in the video to create your own sports highlights channel? 🤔

2 Business Ideas From Photo AI Software

Photo AI lets you upload a few selfies, then generates endless photos of you with different poses / clothing / expressions 🔥

I tried it out and made this video…

I share 2 business ideas at the end of the video.

First is to use Photo AI to become a YouTube thumbnail designer.

This guy from Bangladesh is likely earning $1000 per day making YouTube thumbnails for clients on Fiverr 🤑

Instead of offering a similar service on Fiverr, probably better to directly pitch popular YouTubers with crappy thumbnails (example), send them samples of your work.

Second idea: Photo AI doesn't excel with YouTube thumbnails, and I suspect there's a market for a niche version that does a great job with that one feature.

Photo AI apparently earns $120,000 per month 💰

I reckon a niche version could pull in around 20% of that = $24,000 per month.
