eBiz Insider Business Ideas Newsletter

Hey, it's Niall 👋

Quick housekeeping: I've removed the feedback buttons for each idea in the newsletter.

Your feedback was great in the last two editions, but those buttons added lots of code to the newsletter and the content was getting cut off at the bottom for Gmail users.

No bueno 👎

So we're back to the single feedback thingy at the bottom of each edition.

I love checking out your responses there, so please keep them coming.

Alright, let's dive into a fresh batch of business ideas.

TRAINING AI

Get Paid $25/Hour To Train AI (No Experience Required)

📝 From Entrepreneur.com…

Article is about Riley Willis, "an AI contractor, working in data annotation through a company called DataAnnotation.tech" 👇

Willis said his days consist of "fact-checking" the output of various AI models — but only because that's what he chooses to take on.

He says DataAnnotation.tech offers a variety of projects for contract workers to choose from, including teaching AI to improve its creative writing and coding skills.

His starting rate was $20/hour, now averages $25/hour 🤑

Riley says you can do this as a side hustle as well, spend a couple of hours a day at it.

According to DataAnnotation.tech's about page, you don't need any AI experience to apply for this 👍

Let me know if you give it a try.

MOBILE SERVICES

Earning $16K/Month From Her Flower Truck

Vienna Hintze is a 29-year-old living in Los Angeles, and the owner of Main Street Flower Truck (Instagram) 🌺

She sells fresh flowers out of the truck and rents it out for events…

I'm making a bulk of my money from when the truck is hired to be somewhere.

The business profiled last year on YouTube…

Unclear how profitable it is but she says she's never taken any loans or outside funding 💪

Here's the crazy thing: Vienna only started the business in 2023.

And she's competing with 200+ regular flower shops in Los Angeles 🙈

Her edge is taking a traditional brick-and-mortar business and making it mobile.

What else could you do this with?

Personally, I'd love to have an at-home, full-service car wash in my area 🚗

As it is, I have to book a day and time way in advance, bring my car there, wait around for 3 hours until they're finished, then drive home.

I'd happily pay extra for them to come to my home and do it, way more convenient.

KEYSTONE TOOL

Reached $1,000 in a 10 days Since Launch

💬 Someone named Jonas recently posted on Reddit

10 days ago, I launched ScrapeTheMap—a simple Google Maps scraper for lead generation and competitor analysis… I’ve hit $1,000 in revenue within the first week! 🎉

Sounds like his marketing was mainly this earlier post on Reddit.

2-minute demo of the product on YouTube, can see how easy it is to get contact info for local businesses 🎯

It's a paid tool, but only a one-time fee.

And it strikes me as one of those "keystone tools" that you could build a business around.

Use it to find leads for your own products / services, or for clients.

For example, you could use it to quickly get contact details for 👇

  • Real estate agencies in New York

  • Car dealerships in London

  • Marketing agencies in Australia

  • Restaurants in Idaho

  • Dentists in Ireland

AMAZON

Niche Study Guide Selling on Amazon = $8.7K/Month Profit

Details from this Flippa listing 👇

  • Amazon KDP business

  • Launched in 2023

  • 6 books

  • Main product: ASVAB study guide (for a US military exam)

  • $8,790 monthly profit

I searched for ASVAB study guides on Amazon but couldn't find the exact business 🧐

Sounds like they're selling more than just ebooks though…

The use of a dedicated web app and email support enhances the study process by providing interactive learning tools like practice tests, flashcards, and study guides.

Anyway, this got me thinking…

What other study guides could you sell on Amazon? 🤔

Is there a standardized exam for a niche/industry/profession that you're familiar with?

Could be worth checking if there are any existing guides on Amazon, and if they're any good.

The above business only launched in 2023 and they've been able to compete with all the existing players 💪

$750 MRR in 5 Months Despite Massive Competition

📝 Jacky Liang recently posted on Reddit…

His business is Answer HQ

an AI customer service assistant for small businesses and startups. Started this as a side project after getting laid off last September, and yesterday we hit $750 MRR

Jacky says "we" but he's doing this alone…

Running this solo alongside my day job, 80% margins

Sounds like his TikTok has been key for marketing 📈

Jacky mentions in the comments that his day job is related to AI, so he obviously had an advantage there.

But here's what strikes me 👇

There are literally hundreds of AI customer service products on the market, yet a solo developer can still build and launch something within 6 months that earns a decent income.

So as I've said many times before: don't be afraid of competition.

Is there a successful product or service out there that you find to be overpriced or lacking in some way? 🤔

How about building your own, better version?
