Hey, it's Niall 👋

These days, having an audience feels like one of the best moats against AI.

If a group of people knows, likes, and trusts you, you’ll always have ways to serve them and earn a living doing it.

Even the most impressive app, built in 20 minutes by some vibe-coding hotshot, still needs distribution.

That usually means paying for ads… or paying someone with an audience.

Unfortunately, building an audience takes time.

A lot of time 😰

And it’s not for everyone.

So I’m always on the lookout for future-proof business models that don’t require you to be an influencer, content machine, or personal brand.

One such model caught my eye recently 👀

It’s simple, low startup cost, and works entirely behind the scenes — no audience, no storefront, no complicated tech.

You’ll meet a couple who used this exact model to go from $0 to $100K in five months — and now they’re pulling in over $30K per month.

That story’s up first 👇

Plus four other business ideas to get your wheels turning.

Let’s go!

DROP SERVICING

Earning $33K/Month With Their Outsourced Cleaning Biz

Meet Crystal and Steven, a couple who started a remote cleaning business that earns $33K/month — with a 40% profit margin.

Origin story…

We literally had zero dollars starting this from scratch — we were pretty much broke as a joke.

I had a diesel repair company before and when that took a turn for the worst, we needed something with low overheads…

We didn't have money for business cards, so I printed up flyers and started walking around the neighborhood… I got a call that day, and then Stephen and I started doing cleanings ourselves.

Five months later, they’d earned $100,000 💰

And along the way, they figured out how to outsource much of the day-to-day.

They now have a team of cleaners doing the dirty work, and a VA handling much of the communication with cleaners and clients.

A great example of an unsexy, future-proof business that most people overlook.

It’s one of the few industries AI won’t be replacing anytime soon — and there’s demand for cleaning services everywhere 🌍

SELLING COURSES

$500-1000 Monthly Passive Income From Skillshare Courses

📝 Dan Prizont writes

Content creation courses on e-learning platforms [are] 70% of my "passive" income now… they make money while I sleep. At the moment I publish 1-2 classes per year…

I just publish beginner courses about the things I know and/or are useful to me. If I try a new editing software or want to document how I do X or Y, I create a course for it.

Sounds like his main platform is Skillshare, see his classes here 👀

These platforms also have a monthly newsletter showing which topics are in demand or trending. Tons of courses already exist about those topics, but you can bring your own twist or… update the style/info…

Some months I make $500 with my courses, some months $1000. It fluctuates quite a bit. The more courses you publish, the higher the chances of making more money.

His average course is ~30 minutes long with ~500 students, so you don't need big numbers to earn some nice passive income here 👍

3D PRINTING

17-Year-Old's Quirky $20K/Month Side Hustle

An interview with Michael Satterlee 👇

The business is SoleFully = 3D printed accessories for Crocs.

💬 Michael says…

I started in 2023 after learning 3D printing in my design and drawing for production (DDP) class. I decided to buy a 3D printer and started researching product ideas.

I came across a story about someone making a lot of money selling snow plow attachments for crocs and realized there was a huge opportunity. I jumped on it and built an entire store around that niche…

TikTok and Instagram have been everything for me — that's where all my marketing happens. I average around 50 million monthly impressions, and it's 100% organic. I've never run paid ads, just consistent, creative content.

What niche or industry are you already familiar with?

Might 3D printed accessories work well there? 🤔

DELIVERY APPS

Grandparents Making $10K/Month With Delivery Apps

📝 A paywalled article about Day and Al Stefanelli.

They started off doing food deliveries via Instacart and DoorDash.

Then 👇

Day and Al noticed that while a fast food drop might pay $10, a Walgreens run or a package from the Apple Store (packing services) could earn 3-4x that. Then came Amazon Flex, with $90–$160 routes and heavier loads. "Instead of running 10 little gigs, you can run five bigger ones," Day says…

Once they understood the upside of larger hauls, they didn’t hesitate. They bought a cargo van and started using Roadie...

Suddenly, they were hauling huge trees, basketball hoops and catering equipment for a bigger payout per job. But soon they realized "there's always a bigger job around the bend." So they bought a trailer. Gigs involving a trailer paid between $500 and $750 each — and $1,000 on their best day ever.

With the right equipment, they moved into a space where fewer drivers compete, and the rates reflect that.

Great example of taking a simple side hustle very seriously, thereby earning a good income from it 💪
