eBiz Insider Business Ideas Newsletter
Hey, it's Niall 👋
Thanks so much for all the feedback on Tuesday's newsletter, I loved reading through your replies, very insightful.
Most of you said you like the current mix of high and low tech ideas that I share in this newsletter.
But a significant % said you'd like to see more simple ideas that anyone can start 🚀
With that in mind, I'll aim to have at least a couple of low tech ideas in every edition.
The first two ideas today fit into that category 👍
But keep in mind that it's a competitive landscape out there.
For example, if you want to earn money writing content on Medium – idea #1 below – then using an AI content writing tool = a big advantage 😎
Learning a new tool can be a pain, but often not as tough as you think. Watch a handful of tutorials on YouTube, practice for an hour or two, and you're already ahead of the pack.
Alright, let's get to the ideas.

$1588 in January From Writing on Medium (Still Quite New)
💬 Mohit Vaswani tweets…
I made $2444 in January 2025
⚡️Affiliate commissions: $985
✍️Medium: $603
🚀Directory (sold): $700
🤖Chatbotslist .com: $90
💻Misc: $98
It was the best month, I made lots of money, went on a trip, and had many experiences.
Mohit has 5.6k followers on Medium, despite only starting last April.
He's monetizing his articles there via affiliate commissions and the partner program 🤑
One of Mohit's most lucrative articles…
He's earned $760 from that article alone via the partner program, and also has some affiliate links in there.
Mohit doesn't say but I suspect he's using AI to help him research and write those articles. And he mentions keyword research here 🧐
I reckon his success could be replicated in many niches on Medium.
A good tutorial on YouTube to help you do this…

The Blueprint For Building A Profitable Amazon Business
Today’s email is brought to you by Proven Amazon Course 👈
That's the top-rated Amazon course on my site, with 30+ glowing reviews from students 🤩
One student writes…
Throughout the course, I had positive feedback on the program as it introduced me to practical and actionable insights, enhancing my knowledge and success on Amazon. The training helped me build a very successful Amazon business, with sales of over $10,000 in 3 months.
Lots of Amazon courses are super-expensive and underwhelming.
Proven Amazon Course is the opposite, with the price set at only $39/month and offering a ridiculous amount of value.
VIDEO RESTORATION
Use This New Tech To Earn $100 Per Hour
💬 Topaz Labs recently tweeted…
We’re launching Project Starlight: the first-ever diffusion model for video restoration. Enhance old, low-quality videos to stunning high-resolution. This is our biggest leap since Video AI was first launched.
They go on to show several examples of old grainy video being transformed into HD footage.
Doesn't look like the tech is generally available yet, but worth keeping an eye on 👀
I expect it will be simple to use, just upload a poor-quality video and let the magic happen.
Has me thinking about this business we featured previously…
Part of her offering was scanning and digitizing old photos.
This new tech could let you do the same with old home video / VHS tapes, while upscaling at the same time 👍
Likely a lot of older folks who would be happy to pay for that service.
DIRECTORY WEBSITES
1000's of Monthly Searches + Low Keyword Difficulty
Katt recently highlighted this keyword in her newsletter: ai prompt examples
Monthly search volume: 1,000
Keyword difficulty: 🟢14/100
Product idea: A curated collection of proven prompts across categories (writing, coding, analysis, art).
Monetization: Premium membership with advanced prompts and sponsored placement for AI tool vendors.
The Keywords Everywhere Chrome extension says that keyword has a search volume of 33K/month.
And Google Trends shows ever-increasing searches for AI prompt.
You could build this out as a directory site and target keywords like…
AI prompt for writers
AI prompt for lawyers
Etc.

UPWORK HELPER
Tapping Into a $756M Market With Their Piggyback Product
Posted on Indie Hackers…
Ricardo Batista tells the story of how he and his co-founder were fed up spending lots of time pitching gigs on Upwork…
UpWork and others do a bad job at filtering and matching, so we scratched our own itch and built gigsent.com
I like their thought process…
Here's a frustration we have with Upwork.
Upwork is a massive platform (18M freelancers, $756M annual revenue).
So lots of other people also have this frustration.
Let's build a product that eases that frustration.
No idea if their product is good or if it will make much money – that will ultimately depend on their marketing efforts – but the idea seems solid.
Do you use a popular product or service regularly?
Are there any big problems with it?
If so, consider creating a "piggyback" product or service to solve that problem.

$5.5 Million Funding Round Hints at a Coming Trend
#14 on Glen Allsopp's latest Gaps Income Report 👇
San Francisco-based Daash confirmed a $5.5M funding round in January, bringing their total funding to $8.25M.
Daash tracks trending beauty products online 💋
Glen likens it to another company he highlighted recently…
Eyva aims to help those in the beauty and personal care industry to monitor competitor pricing, social media buzz and the ingredients that make up their trending products.
They’ve essentially taken what you can find on broader, eCommerce-focused research platforms (pricing, new product launches, etc.) and focused on a single, popular niche.
📝 Glen's key point…
I wouldn’t be surprised if one day I’m reporting on other companies doing something similar for the sports niche, furniture space, fashion industry and more.
Think Exploding Topics or Glimpse but for a specific niche or industry.
Could you build something like this? 🤔
Maybe start simple with a newsletter that highlights trends in your chosen niche.
